Friday, September 5th, 2025 – St Johnston Masonic Hall
What an absolutely fantastic evening we had at our Hog Roast! The St Johnston Masonic Hall was buzzing with energy, laughter, and the wonderful spirit of community that makes our lodge so special.
A Feast Fit for Kings
The evening got off to a perfect start thanks to our culinary heroes – Brother T, Brother A, and Brother G – who worked tirelessly to prepare and cook our magnificent hog to absolute perfection. The aroma that filled the hall was simply divine, and the taste? Well, let’s just say there wasn’t a scrap left by the end of the evening!
The dedication these brothers showed in preparing such a wonderful feast truly embodied the Masonic spirit of service and brotherhood. From the early morning preparation to the final serving, they ensured every guest was treated to a meal they won’t soon forget.
An Evening of Community and Celebration
We were absolutely delighted to welcome over 70 people to our hall for this special event. Seeing the hall filled with such a wonderful mix of brethren, families, friends, and members of our local community was truly heartwarming. This fantastic turnout not only supported our lodge financially but also strengthened the bonds that make our Masonic family so strong.
The atmosphere throughout the evening was electric : conversations flowed as freely as the refreshments, old friendships were renewed, and new ones were forged. It’s events like these that remind us why the social aspect of Freemasonry is so important to our fraternal bonds.
Dancing the Night Away with Gary Mc Music
Once again, Gary Mc Music proved why he’s such a popular choice for our lodge events. His fantastic entertainment had everyone on their feet, and the dance floor was rarely empty throughout the evening. From classic tunes that had the older generation reminiscing to modern hits that got the younger crowd moving, Gary’s playlist was perfectly pitched for our diverse audience.
The sight of brethren, their families, and friends all dancing together under one roof was a beautiful reminder of how Freemasonry brings people together across all walks of life. The laughter, the music, and the joy were infectious – you couldn’t help but smile watching everyone having such a wonderful time.
Raffle Success and Amazing Prizes
Our raffle was another highlight of the evening, featuring some truly amazing prizes that had everyone eager to try their luck. The generosity of our prize donors and the enthusiasm of our guests made this a fantastic success, raising valuable funds for our lodge while adding an extra element of excitement to the evening.

From the preparation crew who helped set up the hall and prepare for the evening, to the cleanup team who stayed late to ensure everything was spotless afterward – you are the unsung heroes of our lodge.
