Saddle Up: Lodge 281’s Country and Western Steak Night is Coming

country and western evening 281 july st johnson

The Hall Management Committee of St Johnston Masonic Lodge 281 are keeping the good times rolling this summer. Fresh off the success of June’s Steak BBQ and Dance, the next event is already locked in, and this one has a theme.

Friday the 24th of July 2026. 7:30pm. Country and Western night at the hall.

The Details

This is a ticketed sit-down steak evening with a full Country and Western dress code. The committee have put a lot of thought into the night, and it shows.

On the grill, Terry, Andy, and a few helping hands will be cooking a 10oz Sirloin Steak with chips, pepper sauce, and all the classic trimmings. Chicken is available if preferred. The meal rounds off with an ice cream slider, which is a very welcome touch for a summer evening.

Entertainment comes from Mr Stan McCobb, who will be providing the music on the night.

Numbers Are Limited

The committee have made a deliberate decision to cap attendance at 60 persons. This is not a small gesture. It is a genuine commitment to making sure everyone who attends has a comfortable, enjoyable evening rather than a crowded one. When 60 seats are gone, they are gone.

Tickets are priced at £25 or €25, and the committee are asking for payment in advance where possible. It saves the hassle of collecting money on the night and keeps things running smoothly for everyone.

Why This Matters

Lodge 281 events are not just social occasions. Every ticket sold contributes to the upkeep and betterment of the Hall Complex, a building that serves the lodge, the brethren, and the wider St Johnston community. When you buy a ticket, you are not just booking a night out. You are investing in the lodge.

Bring family. Bring friends. Dress the part. And book early, because 60 seats will not last long.
